Circular Quay or Darling Harbour?

Find the exact pontoon or numbered wharf for your cruise, including listing conflicts to resolve.

“Sydney Harbour” is not a boarding address

The selected tours leave from two main areas: Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. Within each area, individual pontoons and numbered wharves matter. Go to the meeting point on your final voucher, not the closest boat with whale-watching signs. The operator name, product and departure time should all match your reservation.

Eastern Pontoon, Circular Quay

The Adventure Cruise lists Eastern Pontoon at 7 Macquarie Street and requires arrival thirty minutes early. The Sydney Princess breakfast or lunch cruise also lists Eastern Pontoon, under the Sydney Princess Cruises meeting point. They are separate products, with different durations and inclusions; sharing a departure area does not make their tickets interchangeable.

Circular Quay Wharf 6 and Campbells Cove

Captain Cook’s 2.5-hour cruise names Circular Quay Wharf 6. Its listing also asks you to phone the reconfirmation hotline from 7am on the morning of the cruise. Use the details supplied with your booking.

The Fantasea Express Cruise needs particular care. Its highlights name Campbells Cove for 16 May–10 July and Wharf 6 from 11 July, but the meeting-point panel still shows Campbells Cove Pontoon at 6 A Circular Quay West. This is a source inconsistency, not two departure choices we can promise. Confirm the berth for your date with the operator and follow the voucher.

Darling Harbour: King Street Wharves

Go Whale Watching’s three-hour cruise identifies King Street Wharf 6 at 36 The Promenade in its meeting panel, while the description mentions wharves 6 and 7. Arrive twenty minutes early and verify the assigned wharf in the confirmation. Whale Tales specifies Wharf 7 at the same Promenade address. Read the operator’s name as carefully as the street address.

Plan the last part of your journey

Allow time to find the exact boarding point, use facilities and speak to the crew if you have access needs. These listings do not establish hotel pickup as an included benefit; the meal cruise and Captain Cook explicitly exclude it. Parking and city traffic are separate from the boat schedule, so do not use the departure time as your target arrival time.

For route planning, use Transport for NSW’s trip planner with the exact address on the voucher. We do not publish a fixed transit timetable. Check accessibility arrangements directly where boarding ramps, chair dimensions or mobility assistance matter.

Departure information was checked on the six exact GetYourGuide listings on 30 October 2026. Listing conflicts are retained here so visitors can resolve them before travelling.
